Pushkar, India

From Bundi we took a local bus to Pushkar, which is the 2nd holiest city in India and is a place of pilgrimage.
Pushkar was a town full of character, although a bit touristy.
This old man made trip after trip filling up his big pot with water. I don't think he could have weighed more than 90 pounds!
The colors in India are so bright and wonderful.
We did some himalayan face masks and had some hot mint tea.

We decided to see some of the countryside and rent some motorbikes. Unfortunately we had a few break downs, but all in all it was a good ride! It was quite fun having to dodge cows, sheep and camels, let alone the crazy traffic!

We got up at 5am to hike to this temple at the top of a mountain to see the sunrise. It was a breath-taking view and worth the hike.
A view of Pushkar from the top of the mountain.
We were told the black faced monkeys were friendly but to stay away from the red faced monkeys!
A notice outside our hotel.
A public restroom.......
A statement that I take deep to heart and feel very strongly about....something we should all think about.

We ran into this older man who told us that he wanted to take us to the lake and bless us. For me he wished a good husband, children, good health, happiness and that all the bad karma would go away from me and my family. Not too shabby! Brittany on the other hand (because she answered yes to the question of whether or not she had a boyfriend!), didn’t get much for blessings!
